Karlshovsskolan is a dual-parallel F-6 school with 48 staff members, a principal, and an assistant principal. We work in teams for grades F-1, 2-3, 4-6, as well as for after-school care and support teams. A common feature of all school teams is that the staff has broad and deep competence to lead students' learning and development.

Our classrooms have good learning environments, smartboards, and students have access to computers. We offer varied teaching to reach students in the best way. Our educators focus on building good relationships with students but also on helping them achieve higher goal fulfillment. Breaks are filled with activities on the playground, and everyone can participate.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher in after-school care, you work with our students in grades F-6, having a shared role between school and after-school care. You belong to the team in after-school care and also have joint planning time with your colleagues. Together with the team in after-school care, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the after-school care program as well as the compensatory mission towards the school.

You meet the students in close collaboration with colleagues and follow their learning and development throughout the day. Through your pedagogical leadership, you contribute to joy in learning and a safe learning environment. You take overall responsibility for the operation and the students, with a clear focus on school development.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed teacher in after-school care. You have experience working as a teacher in after-school care and with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the after-school care mission and curriculum. You are accustomed to conducting meaningful break activities and can create a structured learning environment.

You are a clear leader and find it easy to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You see school development as a natural part of your work. You have a desire to develop yourself in your work and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents.

As a person, you work well with others, are creative, proactive, and structured. You are calm and stable and have a flexible working style. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and take great responsibility for your tasks. You see what needs to be done, plan and organize your work, and are happy to take initiative. It is an advantage if you have experience in a team leader role and are also interested in driving development work within after-school care.

We want you to see opportunities in changes and have a positive and accommodating attitude. The work also requires pedagogical insight to meet students in need of special support, as well as developed knowledge of approaches that promote students' knowledge and development.

You have good collaboration skills and can cooperate with different parts of the school's operations smoothly. Furthermore, you create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are happy to share your knowledge and reflections in a humble manner.
